Form | Liquid or Lyophilization |
Buffer | The default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol if the delivery form is liquid. The lyophilization buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0 if the delivery form is lyophilized powder. Please contact us if you have any special requirment. |
Reconstitution | Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water and we recommend that briefly centrifuge thevial prior to opening the vial .We recommend aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. |
Background
Relevance | Involved in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) metabolism. Could function as an adenine nucleotide-dependent DNA helicase. Function inferred to be critical for lifetime maintenance of mtDNA integrity. In vitro, forms in combination with POLG, a processive replication machinery, which can use double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) as tplate to synthesize single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) molecules. May be a key regulator of mtDNA copy number in mammals. |
Involvement in Disease | Progressive external ophthalmoplegia with mitochondrial DNA deletions, autosomal dominant, 3 (PEOA3); Mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome 7 (MTDPS7); Perrault syndrome 5 (PRLTS5) |
Subcellular Location | Mitochondrion matrix, mitochondrion nucleoid |
