Form | Liquid or Lyophilization |
Buffer | The default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol if the delivery form is liquid. The lyophilization buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0 if the delivery form is lyophilized powder. Please contact us if you have any special requirment. |
Reconstitution | Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water and we recommend that briefly centrifuge thevial prior to opening the vial .We recommend aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. |
Background
Relevance | Component of the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex, a complex recruited to centromeres which is involved in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. May be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres via its interaction with the CENPA-NAC complex. Acts in coordination with CASC5/KNL1 to recruit the NDC80 complex to the outer kinetochore. |
Involvement in Disease | Chromosomal aberrations involving CENPK are a cause of acute leukemias. Translocation t(5;11)(q12;q23) with KMT2A/MLL1. |
Subcellular Location | Nucleus, Chromosome, centromere, Chromosome, centromere, kinetochore |
Protein Families | CENP-K/MCM22 family |
Tissue Specificity | CENPK |
